Today we are off attending the marriage of our youngest son, Andrew, to his
beautiful sweetheart, Holly. They are a lovely couple, getting married in
Spokane, Washington. By the time you read this they should be tying the
knot, and will always have 07/07/07 as their own.

My best to all on this fine day.

-Allen

------------------------------
Formatted Data Appears Differently On Different Systems
------------------------------
If you notice that dates don't look the same when a workbook is opened on
different systems, it could be because of the way you have the cells
formatted. This tip explains why this difference occurs and provides some
solutions you can apply.

simple math. The formulas provided in this tip are both illuminating and
helpful.

various macros. This tip shows how easy it is.

------------------------------
Printing Workbook Properties
------------------------------
When you take a look at the Properties dialog box associated with any
workbook, you'll notice that Excel tracks quite a bit of information about
the workbook itself. This tip shows how you can get this property
information into a worksheet so you can print it out.

------------------------------
Getting Rid of Alphabetic Characters
------------------------------
I have a lot of cells that have some alphabetic characters in them. Is there
a way to get rid of only those characters, no matter where they appear in
the cell? For instance, if the cell contains "ABC123," I want to get rid of
"ABC" and have just "123" remaining. Similarly, "A3B2C1" should become "321"
and "#45P*%" should become "#45*%".
(Bryan Bowes)

------------------------------
Searching for Line Breaks
------------------------------
How can I search for a line break (Shift+Enter) in a cell? In Word I can
search for ^l to find line breaks; I can find no such command in Excel.
(Veronica Lee)
